No. The AirSculpt Lift is a minimally invasive fat grafting procedure designed to address similar aesthetic concerns as a traditional facelift but is far less invasive. In a conventional facelift, excess skin is cut out with a scalpel, and the skin and other tissues, including fat, may be removed or surgically repositioned. By contrast, the AirSculpt Lift fills your face naturally with your fat and restores lost volume.  

The primary benefit of fat injections is that results will be long-lasting. Facial filler injections, which use artificial material to rejuvenate the face, must be touched up every 12 to 18 months. Fat transfers require more time to settle in than soft tissue fillers, but the results are longer-lasting. 

Using fat tissue from your body eliminates the risk of hypersensitivity reactions that can occur with other fillers. Facial fat grafting can be customized to address many areas and issues, from a lack of volume in the lips, to the nasal fold lines, to cheek wrinkles. You will need to wear a compression garment on the harvest site for a couple of weeks, but not on the face. Your surgeon will give you personalized directions for your recovery. Patients should refrain from using ice on the face's treatment sites, as it can interrupt the natural healing process.

Most surgeons will overfill the area to account for the natural reabsorption after fat transfers. During the first few weeks after treatment, swelling and bruising will be present, but as these subside, results become apparent.
